EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Tight end Travis Beckum was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday with a knee injury.
Beckum injured his knee in practice last Friday, according to the Giants. The team signed defensive back Terrence Frederick off the practice squad to take Beckum's roster spot.
Cornerback Brandon Bing was signed to the practice squad.
Beckum tore his right ACL in Super Bowl XLVI in February and missed the first eight games of this season while on the PUP list. Beckum played in just four games and finished without a reception.
Drafted in the third round in 2009, Beckum has 26 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns in 48 games with the Giants.
