Kevin Boothe or Mitch Petrus?
Head coach Tom Coughlin was still undecided after practice when asked which of the two would start at left guard for injured David Diehl Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
“With Booth, you’ve got the veteran,” Coughlin said. “He’s been in games as a starter. He’s finished games for us. It’s just a matter of if he’s ready to go. I don’t see any reason physically why he’s not. We’ll see on that.
“Both are getting multiple opportunities.”
The 27-year-old Boothe, who has yet to appear in a game this season, was activated from the physically unable to perform list Wednesday. He had been out with a torn pectoral.
Petrus, a rookie out of Arkansas, saw his first game action in the fourth quarter last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
The 30-year-old Diehl has has been out while nursing injuries to his hip and hamstring.
