Nicks: 'My career counts on' healthy season

August, 5, 2013
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. –- Hakeem Nicks says he's ready for practice on Tuesday.

"Yeah, I’m practicing," Nicks said during a commercial shoot for New Era Caps.

Nicks has been out of the last four practices with a groin injury. The receiver is doing everything he can to be at full strength this season. He said playing in all 16 games in 2013 is critical for the Giants and his career.

“My career counts on it, this season counts on it,” said Nicks, who is entering his final season under contract. “The offense, just being what I am to the team, I think it is going to make a big difference.”

Nicks explained to fans who have been impatient why he is being cautious and how he's "going to be playing for a long time.” Read the rest here.
