EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Giants safety Stevie Brown and cornerback Jayron Hosley exited Saturday night's game against the Jets in the first quarter after suffering knee and ankle injuries, respectively.
Brown, one of the team's starting safeties, injured his left knee while returning an interception of Jets quarterback Geno Smith. He is out for the rest of the game with what is officially being called a sprained knee.
Brown was tied for second in the NFL last season with eight interceptions.
Hosley, the team's third-round draft choice in 2012, is also out for the rest of the game with a sprained ankle. Hosley is currently one of the Giants' second-string corners, along with Aaron Ross, and plays in some nickel and dime packages. He was also the team's primary punt returner in Saturday's game.
