So depending on who you listen to, Brett Favre is not playing or is doubtful.
Brett probably doesn't even know how he will feel in a few hours. What we do seem to know is that he will be a game-time decision and interim coach Leslie Frazier has told ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter that #4 is "doubtful but sometimes you never know with him."
Here is also a link to NFC North guru Kevin Seifert, who has more of what's being said about Favre playing tonight.
ALL GONE
The Giants aren't sure what kind of crowd they will see tonight at Ford Field but it appears they won't be playing before a sparse crowd.
The Lions announced that due to overwhelming response, free tickets are no longer being distributed for for the game. Crowds lined up early this morning in frigid temperatures for the free tickets. Anyone holding a ticket to the Giants-Vikings game in Minneapolis will receive preferred seating. And those who went to the Lions-Packers game yesterday can use their ticket to get into the game for free.
However, those with the free tickets and Lions-Packers tickets are not guaranteed to get in. It is a first-come, first-serve basis. Ford Field's capacity is 64,500.
Stay tuned, we'll have more later tonight on what the scene is like.
GIANTS BLOOD DRIVE
The Giants and the American Red Cross are hosting the 2nd Annual blood drive on Saturday, Dec. 18th from 7 am to 2 pm in the Lexus Club at the New Meadowlands Stadium. Anyone who wants to donate blood can register at redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-26-BLOOD.
Donors will receive a t-shirt and get to interact with Giants alumni like Howard Cross, Joe Morris, Karl Nelson, Bart Oates and Sean Landeta.
ELWAY AND MARINO
Football fans also have a chance to hear John Elway and Dan Marino, who are scheduled to talk football and tell stories at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday. Tickets go on sale on Monday at insidethegametour.com.
