The New York Giants signed defensive end Ayanga Okpokowuruk to the practice squad.
A spot was created when the Vikings decided to sign quarterback Rhett Bomar off the Giants' practice squad.
Okpokowuruk, a 6-3 defensive end from Duke, was with the Giants during the offseason until he was waived in late July. With Dave Tollefson nursing a MCL sprain for possibly the next two weeks, the Giants decided to add another defensive end.
