Yes, Todd McShay has put out a 2015 mock draft. No, I am not kidding. The order is based on projected win totals provided by Aaron Schatz of Football Outsiders, who apparently has the Giants going 9-7, making the playoffs, losing in the wild-card round and selecting 23rd in next year's NFL draft.
Obviously, this is all in good fun. We don't even know when and where the draft is going to be next year, how many of the players in the projection will enter it, how they will play in a college football season that doesn't begin for three and a half more months ... You get it. All of the disclaimers are obvious.
That said, and if you have an Insider account, I know you're clicking on it to see who he has the Giants taking. You're an NFL fan. You're addicted to the draft. You can't help it. I hear you. And I'm here for you. And so is Todd. In case you ever doubted that, there is no greater proof than this.
So with the projected No. 23 pick in the first 2015 mock draft, Todd McShay projects the Giants to select ...
Ramik Wilson, LB, Georgia.
Which immediately becomes the silliest thing about this whole enterprise, right? Everybody knows the Giants never take a linebacker in the first round!
