Perry Fewell isn't done with all the head coaching interviews after all.
The Tennessee Titans requested and received permission to interview the New York Giants defensive coordinator, league sources tell ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
A league source said Fewell will interview with the Titans, which will be his fourth interview this offseason for a head coaching vacancy.
Fewell has already interviewed with the Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers this offseason. All three hired other coaches. The San Francisco 49ers also requested permission to talk to Fewell but never interviewed him and hired Jim Harbaugh instead.
Offensive line coach Mike Munchak is reportedly the leading candidate to replace Jeff Fisher in Tennessee. The Titans also are interested in Atlanta offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey and have reportedly talked to their own offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger. Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was scheduled to interview with the team but withdrew his name from consideration according to reports. The Titans, however, must comply with the "Rooney Rule" and interview a minority candidate before hiring a head coach.
Even though Fewell just finished his first season as defensive coordinator for the Giants, he has become a hot name for head coaching openings. Several Giants players want Fewell to return as the defense was a top-five unit for most of the season.
