Some of Dayne's stolen items returned

Some good news for Ron Dayne.

Looks like someone has returned some of the jewelry Dayne reported stolen recently. According to a report by the Wisconsin State Journal, Dayne’s two Rose Bowl rings, Heisman Trophy ring and other sports valuables that were reported stolen from his home in Waunakee, Wis., turned up on the porch of a Madison residence where the former Giants running back reported other stolen jewelry.

Madison police said the sports jewelry that was returned was found in a plastic bag. Dayne had said that his two Rose Bowl rings and other items valued at about $100,000 were stolen from his Waunakee residence in April.

Also among the items returned was Dayne’s Giants’ NFC Championship ring and two University of Wisconsin football rings.

Dayne reportedly had $40,000 worth of jewelry stolen from his Madison residence during Memorial Day weekend. None of those items taken showed up in the bag that was returned on Tuesday.
