Eli's message for The Captain

July, 11, 2011
It was an awesome weekend for sports between Derek Jeter homering for his historic 3,000th hit to USA's miraculous comeback against Brazil in the Women's World Cup.

Jeter's amazing Saturday saw him go 5-for-5 with the tiebreaking single in the eighth to lift the Yankees to a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay.

Eli Manning took some time to send a video message congratulating Jeter on his 3,000th hit.

"Being a New York athlete and seeing how you have conducted yourself over the years, you've been a great role model for me and still are," Manning says in the video posted on the Giants' Facebook page. "You're the best and congratulations."
