Justin Tuck missed the majority of Wednesday’s practice with a sore Achilles. Throw in Jason Pierre-Paul’s achy back and the Giants have some injuries to manage on the defensive line.

Backup quarterback Sage Rosenfels also is in a hospital in Hackensack with strep throat. Players are off on Thursday and Sunday [before the Monday night preseason game against the Bears].

Here’s your injury report for Wednesday:

LB Michael Boley –- Missed his second practice with a back injury that Tom Coughlin referred to as a “spasm, tightened up on him.” Coughlin said he has undergone several tests and feels better.

K Lawrence Tynes –- Still nursing a quad injury.

S Jarrard Tarrant –- Out with a shoulder injury.

WR Darius Reynaud –- Injured his hamstring in practice on Tuesday.

QB Sage Rosenfels –- The backup quarterback has a bad case of strep throat and is currently hospitalized.

DE Jason Pierre-Paul –- Back tightness sidelined him for a second straight day.

DE Justin Tuck -- Sore Achilles kept him out for most of practice.
