Tynes might miss Bears with sore thigh

East Rutherford, N.J. -- New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes will likely miss Monday night's preseason game against the Chicago Bears with a sore right thigh.

"I don't think I'm playing, no," Tynes said.

Tynes "would like to think" he could play next Saturday against the Jets.

Tynes said the bruise on his right thigh is bad enough to miss the game if it were during the regular season.

The Giants signed free agent kicker Rhys Lloyd Tuesday, but Tynes isn't concerned.

"I think that they just signed a kicker to play Monday night, that's all I think," Tynes said. "I'm not worried. I think I've performed pretty well here."
