Giants tight end Travis Beckum says he’ll return to practice this week and hopes to play on Sunday in Philadelphia.
“It’s getting better,” said Beckum, who has missed the first two games this season because of tightness/soreness in his hamstrings. “I’m progressing ever day.”
Beckum says he’s consistently receiving treatment.
“I’ve had them several times, and from where it is now as to where it was on the day of or the day after it happened, it feels much better,” Beckum said.
The Giants could definitely use Beckum. His replacement, Jake Ballard, has accounted for all three catches by New York tight ends this season -- totaling 72 yards.
