Travis Beckum says he’s healthy and ready to make his season debut.
More importantly, the tight end says ready to prove himself.
“I think I have a lot to prove to everybody else, and especially for myself,” said Beckum, who is probable but likely will play on Sunday in Philadelphia. “I think that I can say that I can do this or I can do that, but until I go out there and do it, it doesn’t mean anything.”
Beckum has missed the first two weeks of the regular season due to hamstring soreness, but is ready to make an impact against the Eagles.
“It’s definitely great to be back out there and I’m looking forward to playing on Sunday,” Beckum said.
Asked about how his role may change if Hakeem Nicks gets doubled, Beckum responded, “I’m just gonna do my job, and whatever coach puts me in, I’m gonna try to take advantage of the opportunity.”
