On Sunday, Chris Snee will miss his first game since 2004.
And he's not going to be happy about it.
Snee suffered a concussion last Sunday against Seattle. He will likely be replaced by Kevin Boothe at right guard, ending his streak of consecutive regular season games started (and played) at 101.
He last sat out the last five games of 2004 -- his rookie year -- with an inflamed gland. Snee’s games played streak was the second-longest on the team to Eli Manning, who has started 108 consecutive regular season games.
"He has spent the week trying to feel better so I am sure as he feels better, the idea of him not playing is going to set in and he is not going to be real happy about that," said Tom Coughlin, Snee's coach and father-in-law.
With Snee sitting out, there is a four-way tie for the second-longest starting streak in a Giants uniform after Manning. Kareem McKenzie, Antrel Rolle, Kenny Phillips and Chris Canty have all started 21 consecutive games.
