When Tom Coughlin heard about the Giants in attendance at a nightclub during a fatal shooting, the Giants coach was concerned. At first the only name he heard was that of wide receiver Victor Cruz, so he sat down and had a conversation with him.
“The only one I heard about initially was Victor,” Coughlin said. “Thank God he was safe. I would speak to him as a parent would speak to his son. I don’t know what happens good at 2:30 or 3 in the morning. I’ve never been able to figure that one out. And beyond that it’s between he and I.”
Coughlin said he plans to sit down with the other players who were involved, reportedly Antrel Rolle, Aaron Ross and Chris Canty. The full story can be found here.
"I don't remember how many [gunshots I heard], to be honest with you," Cruz said, according to The Bergen Record. "There were enough."
