Not so fast, Ahmad.
Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw stated on Thursday that he will try to play next week against the New Orleans Saints.
But before he takes the field, he's going to have to show Tom Coughlin a few things in practice.
"I know the position of the medical staff, exactly [and] they are not quite ready to turn him loose," Coughlin said. "When they do that, let’s hope that he can go out on the practice field for a limited amount of plays and the next day be able to come out and do the same thing. Then we will know that he can go into a game and play and hopefully come out of the game."
Coughlin then added that, after he proves his health, Bradshaw would most likely take fewer snaps in practice to stay fresh for Sundays.
Bradshaw, 25, fractured a bone in his foot in the fourth quarter of the Giants' victory over the Dolphins on Oct. 30. He hasn't played or practiced since. He has also decided to forgo surgery and play through the pain.
If he makes it back this year and plays, it wouldn't be the first time he's done so in discomfort.
In 2009, Bradshaw suited up and played in eight of the Giants' final nine games with broken bones in both feet.
He had offseason surgery in 2009 to put a screw in each foot, as well as to repair bone spurs from his right ankle.
The veteran back returned in 2010 and ran for a career-high 1,235 yards and eight touchdowns.
Don't forget, a banged-up Bradshaw could certainly bolster the Giants anemic run game. Coughlin's crew ranks 29th in yards per game entering its Sunday night showdown against Philadelphia.

So to recap, Giants didn't have their top two WRs at voluntary OTA. Nicks would've been limited but Coughlin wasn't thrilled.

Coughlin sounded disappointed that Nicks is not here at voluntary OTA. Nicks would've been limited though as he makes way back.

Don't see Hakeem Nicks on field at OTAs. Chris Snee and David Baas might be inside rehabbing. No Victor Cruz at voluntary OTA.
