Will the lights stay on this time?

By Matt Ehalt

Maybe this time the lights will stay on.

In last year's Giants-Cowboys game at MetLife Stadium, the power went out in the stadium, casting the stadium in darkness in the middle of the game. It became one of the biggest and perhaps worst moments in the first year of the stadium.

"It was weird," Giants defensive end Dave Tollefson said. "Hopefully they stay on."

In the third quarter of last year's game, a 33-20 win by Dallas, the lights went out at the then-called New Meadowland Stadium during the third quarter but came back on just seconds after. The lights later went out again a few minutes later as the stadium switched its power sources, taking the lights out for approximately six minutes. No players were injured as the power failed.

"It was kind of an odd deal," Tollefson added.
