Report: McKenzie told to go shopping

By Ohm Youngmisuk

Jerry Reese said last month that he isn't sure how his offensive line will look for next season.

One reason why is because right tackle Kareem McKenzie is an unrestricted free agent. According to the Bergen Record, McKenzie has been told to "go shopping" in free agency as many have expected. McKenzie will turn 33 in May. He has started 105 games since 2005, including all 16 games for the last two seasons. And he has helped the Giants win two Super Bowls.

But the Giants are looking to create cap space at the moment and will have to move some pieces around on the offensive line. Will Beatty has been cleared to return. David Diehl started at left tackle after Beatty had eye surgery. If the Giants start Beatty at left tackle, they could move Diehl back to left guard or to right tackle in place of McKenzie since Kevin Boothe could stay at left guard.

The Giants also have last year's fourth-round project, James Brewer, as a possibility at right tackle if they deem him ready. They could also draft a tackle as well.

Tell us what you think the Giants should do on the offensive line for next season in the comments list below.
