Beckum practices for first time since injury
By Matt Ehalt
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Giants tight end Travis Beckum practiced Wednesday for the first time since he tore his ACL in Super Bowl XLVI.
"It felt good," Beckum said. "I haven't practiced and played football in eight months, but it felt good."
Beckum is on the PUP list and the team now has three weeks to determine if it wants to activate him -- which would require a roster move -- or keep him on the PUP list for the rest of the year.
By being placed on the PUP list before the season began, Beckum had to sit out the first six weeks. He was eligible to being practicing last week but did not get the chance. The team made the call this week to let him start working.
"I was anxious, I was excited to get back and play with the guys," Beckum said. "Now just kind of taking it day by day."
