The Giants' Friday morning injury report

By Ian Begley

Center Shaun O'Hara (ankle/Achillies) was on the field and active for the portion of Friday's practice open to the media. O'Hara has missed three straight games with a left ankle injury and left Achillies ailment. He first suffered the injury in training camp, and hasn't played or practiced since the Giants' Week 2 loss against the Colts.

O'Hara had a cortisone shot last week to temper the pain. Coach Tom Coughlin left open the possibility that the veteran center could return on Sunday against the Lions.

Also, DE/LB Mathias Kiwanuka (neck) and S Brian Jackson (neck) were seen running outside while the Giants practiced indoors.

LB Keith Bulluck (turf toe) was dressed but did not do much during the portion of practice open to the media. Bulluck sat out last Sunday's win over the Titans, but said on Thursday that he would play against the Lions.

DE Osi Umenyiora (knee) was on the field for the part of practice we saw on Friday. He has missed practice periodically this season with knee swelling and stiffness.

FB Madison Hedgecock (hamstring) and WR Victor Cruz (hamstring) were both out on Friday morning. S Kenny Phillips (knee) and D.J. Ware (groin) practiced.
