Phillips says he is playing against Ravens
By Ohm Youngmisuk
Kenny Phillips has missed the past two games since looking a bit hobbled on the field against the Redskins at the start of the month.
Phillips suffered a setback with his injured MCL against Washington. But with the Giants needing to win their final two games to make the playoffs, he says he will play against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
"I'm 100 percent confident that I will be on the field this week," Phillips said on ESPN New York 98.7 on Tuesday. "Not sure which role (the coaches) will allow me to play."
Phillips missed six games earlier this season with an MCL injury. He returned to play against Green Bay and the Giants had great success with their three-safety look as they routed the Packers, 38-10. But Phillips did not look healthy against the Redskins the following week and played limited snaps before sitting out the last two games.
Will Hill has been the team's third safety in his absence.
