Injury report: Tuck, Phillips out

By Ohm Youngmisuk

BALTIMORE –- Justin Tuck and safety Kenny Phillips will not play against the Baltimore Ravens.

Tuck and Phillips were both ruled inactive prior to the game. Tuck injured his shoulder during last week’s 34-0 loss to Atlanta. The defensive end traveled to Baltimore and will be on the sideline cheering on the Giants. Osi Umenyiora will start opposite Jason Pierre-Paul.

Head coach Tom Coughlin was optimistic about Phillips' availability earlier last week, but the safety will miss his third straight game with an MCL injury.

Stevie Brown will start alongside Antrel Rolle at safety.

Tuck and Phillips join wide receiver Ramses Barden, safety Tyler Sash, tight end Travis Beckum, defensive end Adewale Ojomo and tight end Adrien Robinson as the Giants' inactives.

Defensive tackle Marvin Austin is active and might see some snaps.
