Injury report: Snee needs 'a little more time'
By Ohm Youngmisuk
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Chris Snee is not used to watching practice on the sideline this much.
The veteran right guard has never been on training camp PUP list before like he is now. But Snee doesn't think he's that far away from getting to where he needs to be.
Chris Snee is on the PUP list after offseason hip surgery.
"I don't think it would be too long but I don't know," Snee said. "I feel pretty good. I really will just take this week and condition hard and see how it feels after that."
Snee had offseason surgery on his hip and the team will take every precaution with their best offensive lineman. Snee initially hoped to be ready for the start of camp. He says he hasn't suffered a setback or anything like that.
"We thought it was in the best interest to take a little more time," he explained. "There's no need to rush things now. I'm doing everything I need to get in shape. I'm close."
Curry cramp:Aaron Curry exited his first practice with what Tom Coughlin believed was cramps. Up until that point, Curry was active with the second-team linebackers. Kyle Bosworth replaced Curry on the second team for the end of practice.
Pierre-Paul (back), cornerback Terrell Thomas (knee), fullback Henry Hynoski (knee), Snee (hip) and defensive tackle Markus Kuhn (knee) -- all PUP list guys -- did not practice. Center David Baas did do work in practice but appeared to be limited.
