EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was absent from practice on Friday, a day after telling reporters he was under the weather.

Coach Tom Coughlin confirmed that Pierre-Paul is sick. When asked if the illness could keep him out of Monday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings, Coughlin said, "I don't think so."

Eight other players were on the team's official injury report on Friday. Running back David Wilson (neck) has already been ruled out this week.

Besides Pierre-Paul, cornerback Corey Webster (groin) also did not practice, after practicing on a limited basis Thursday. But Webster sounded optimistic about playing against the Vikings.

Center David Baas (neck), running back Brandon Jacobs (hamstring), cornerback Terrell Thomas (knee), cornerback Jayron Hosley (hamstring), tight end Adrien Robinson (foot) and safety Cooper Taylor (shoulder) all practiced on a limited basis.

Running back Andre Brown (leg) and defensive tackle Markus Kuhn (knee) were also working on Friday. Brown is eligible to come off short-term injured reserve and play Nov. 10 against the Oakland Raiders. Kuhn is on the PUP list -- he practiced for the first time this season on Thursday, and the Giants now have three weeks to decide whether to activate him or place him on IR.
