ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Giants are "resisting all overtures" for the 25-year-old wide receiver.
The NFL's trade deadline is Tuesday.
Nicks entered Sunday’s game against the Eagles on pace for 62 catches and 1,074 yards. But he had yet to haul in a touchdown pass from Eli Manning in an underwhelming season so far.
Nicks will be a free agent at the end of the year. The Giants just locked up slot receiver Victor Cruz long-term, while Rueben Randle has emerged as one of Manning’s go-to targets.
Given that the Giants have needs at a myriad of positions, it’s unknown if they’ll be willing to give big money to Nicks. His trade value isn’t exactly high right now, so who knows if they’d even be getting decent return.
Perhaps things will change again following Sunday’s game, but for now it appears Nicks will be staying a Giant.
