Report: Bradshaw changes agents

By Ohm Youngmisuk

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw has switched agents and hired Drew Rosenhaus, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Bradshaw, who was with Craig Domann, awaits to see if he will become an unrestricted or restricted free agent based on what the new collective bargaining agreement rules.

Bradshaw, who was drafted in 2007, has said he wants to remain with the Giants, who want to re-sign their top running back. The Giants placed a second-round tender on Bradshaw prior to the lockout in case he is a restricted free agent. Bradshaw said earlier this year that the Giants told him he’s a priority this offseason. If Bradshaw is an unrestricted free agent, the Giants may have to figure out how they will afford both Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs.

Jacobs has two years remaining on his contract and will make $4.65 million in 2011 and $4.9 million in 2012. The Giants have D.J. Ware and seventh-round pick, Da’Rel Scott, also on the roster.

In his first season as the primary running back, Bradshaw gained 1,235 yards and eight touchdowns last year. But he fumbled seven times, losing six of them. Still, Tom Coughlin loves Bradshaw and the extra effort he gives on every carry.
