Practice report: Nicks in, Bradshaw out

By Ian Begley

No Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) at practice on Friday, as expected. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bradshaw will not play Sunday in San Francisco due to the fractured bone in his foot that kept him out of Sunday's win at New England.

WR Hakeem Nicks, however, was active during the open portion of practice on Friday and looks like he will go. He did individuals on Thursday and did not practice on Wednesday after sitting out the win over the Patriots with a hamstring injury.

Center David Baas, who sat out Sunday's game with a knee injury, was active during the early portion of practice on Friday and is optimistic about playing against his old team.

WR Jerrel Jernigan rode the bike on Friday and is expected to sit on Sunday.

D.J. Ware, Da'Rel Scott and Devin Thomas all could be candidates to return kicks on Sunday, though Thomas was demoted this week after muffing a few kickoffs in recent weeks.

It is unknown at this point if rookie cornerback Prince Amukamara, who hasn't played all season due to a foot injury, will make his debut on Sunday. He has practiced in all week and appeared to be active on Friday.

FB Henry Hynoski did not appear to be active on Friday. We will provide a full update on the status of injured players -- and their possible replacements -- later on Friday.
