Rolle: Romo can 'kick your butt'
By Ian Begley
Clock management issues aside, Tony Romo has been red-hot over the last five weeks.
Romo ranks in the top 10 in completion percentage (67.6), yards per game (273.2), TD-to-INT ratio (5.5) and total QBR (75.2) since Week 9.
Antrel Rolle knows all about Romo's exploits.
"Tony Romo is very capable of going out there and kicking your butt. We are aware of that and we understand that and we are going to go out there like we are playing the best of the best," Rolle said.
GIANTS BACK ROLLE'S GUARANTEE: Rolle insisted on Wednesday that he wasn't trying to provide motivation to his team when he said in a radio interview that the Giants will make the playoffs.
"I'm saying what I believe. That’s what I believe. I'm not saying that for motivation, I'm not saying that for any other reason besides that’s what my true belief is," he said.
Many Giants supported Rolle's guarantee on Wednesday. Among them was Eli Manning.
"I like the confidence and obviously that’s the way he feels. That’s the way we need to play," Manning said. "We need to play knowing that if we go out there and play to our potential, play the type of football that we know we can, [then] that should be the situation."
MARK ON THE MEND: LB Mark Herzlich said the ankle injury that kept him out of the Green Bay game is improving. His range of motion has gotten better since Sunday, but he remains in a boot. Herzlich is unsure about his status for the Dallas game. He suffered the injury in Week 12 against New Orleans.
