New York Giants: Samantha Gordon
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Plenty of celebrities pass through the gates of MetLife Stadium on game day, but few have their own Wheaties box.
On Sunday, 9-year-old Samantha Gordon, the YouTube running back from Utah, got a VIP tour of the facilities from NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy before the Giants took on the Saints.
Gordon has been on Good Morning America and ESPN ever since her highlight reel hit the web. She scored 35 touchdowns and gained more than 2,000 yards for her team in the Gremlin division of the Ute conference.
Her favorite trip, Gordon said Sunday, was to watch the U.S. women’s soccer team play. She got to meet Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan, her two favorite players.
Even though football has made her famous, soccer is her favorite sport. But for one day at least, the Giants were her favorite NFL team.
