Defenseman Mark Fayne has agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth $2.6 million with the Devils, a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com.

The 25-year-old restricted free agent, who rejected his qualifying offer earlier this month, has avoided salary arbitration, originally slated to take place August 2.

Fayne appeared in all 82 regular season games for the Devils this season, recording four goals and 13 assists. The Nashua, New Hampshire native underwent wrist surgery in June and is expected to be sidelined for up to four months.
