Brad Richards, who missed the Rangers' first day of training camp Sunday, is not on the ice again Monday.
According to a team spokesperson, Richards has been held out of camp with the flu.
Coach John Tortorella doesn't seem worried about his absence, despite the shortened time available for training camp preparation.
"Richie knows our concepts. He was one of the guys who spent a lot of the lockout taking care of his business [with] conditioning," Tortorella said. "Do I want him here? Yes. Is it a major concern? No."
The veteran center had 25 goals and 41 assists last season, his first with the Rangers.
