The Rangers blocked 33 shots against Chicago on Monday night, giving them a league-leading 223 blocks in 11 games.

"You get in the lane and sacrifice your body for the team. There's no skill about it, you just get in there and go down. That's about it," said Dan Girardi, who is tied for the NHL lead with 41 blocks after he was credited with six against the Blackhawks.

Ryan Callahan also had six blocks on Monday night. His 20 blocks are the most in the NHL among forwards.

The Rangers were also credited with 35 hits against the defending-champs, giving them a league-leading 327 on the season. Callahan had five of them against Chicago and ranks fourth in the league with 42 on the year.

A FINE LINE: The Rangers top line of Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov and Callahan continued its productive play on Monday.

Dubinsky scored twice with Callahan and Anisimov assisting both tallies.

Dubinsky has seven points (four goals, three assists) in the last six games and is tied for fourth in the NHL with seven goals on the season.

Callahan extended his points streak to a career-high seven games and Anisimov has recorded six points in the last seven games.

"They are in pretty much every crucial situation for us: penalty-kill, power play, five-on-five," Girardi said. "They're such a dynamic line .... They get a lot of shots on net and create a lot of chances."

TOUGH STRETCH: The Rangers finished 2-2 in their four-game, six-night stretch. Next up for the Blueshirts are back-to-back road games against Philadelphia and New Jersey beginning Thursday.
