Both Chris Kreider and J.T. Miller have been sent down to the AHL's Connecticut Whale, according to the AHL transactions log.

Rangers coach John Tortorella expressed concern about the young forwards on Monday night. Neither player saw the ice in the third period of the Rangers' 4-2 win over Winnipeg at Madison Square Garden.

"Quite honestly, I'm worried about the kids," Tortorella said. "Not that I'm upset with them. I just think the stakes are high. We play so many close games and I've just got to watch how they go through the game, do I trust them?"

Both players have previously spent time with the Whale this season.
