The Rangers made a minor-league swap with the Washington Capitals Tuesday, acquiring Francois Bouchard in exchange for defenseman Tomas Kundratek.

Bouchard, the younger brother of Minnesota's Pierre-Marc Bouchard, has spent the past five seasons with the AHL's Hershey Bears compiling 49 goals, 63 assists and 129 penalty minutes.

The 23-year-old forward was a member of Hershey's back-to-back Calder-Cup Championship teams in 2009 and 2010.

Kundratek, a former 3rd round draft pick in 2008, has two assists in 7 games for the Connecticut Whale this season.
