Penguins center Sidney Crosby makes his much ballyhooed return to the ice on Monday night ... against the slumping Islanders.

For coach Jack Capuano’s club, it couldn’t have happened at a worse time.

Capuano just ripped into his team after an embarrassing 6-0 defeat at the hands of the defending Stanley Cup champion Bruins on Saturday.

The Islanders will look to right the ship in Pittsburgh, but it will certainly be a daunting task.

The building should be amped up being as Crosby hasn’t played in almost a year since sustaining a concussion.

And Sid The Kid owns the Islanders. In 33 games against them, he has 18 goals and 44 assists. The 62 points are the most he’s amassed vs. any team aside from Philadelphia (62 in 36 games).
