The Rangers told reporters at Wednesday’s practice that right winger Ryan Callahan missed the session with a bruised foot and is day-to-day.

If Callahan cannot play in Thursday night’s game in Carolina, Ruslan Fedetenko could be moved up to his spot alongside Carl Hagelin and Brad Richards, according to the New York Daily News. The makeshift trio skated together on Wednesday.

New acquisition John Scott skated on the right wing with Mike Rupp and John Mitchell on the team’s fourth line, the newspaper reported.

But it does not sound like Scott will be making his Ranger debut just yet.

“I’m not changing the lineup. Unless there are injuries, I’m not changing our lineup. I like our lineup,” Tortorella said. Callahan will travel with the team.
