Are the Penguins the new team to beat?

March, 16, 2012
With a decisive 5-2 win against the Rangers Thursday at Madison Square Garden, the Penguins rolled to their 10th straight win, begging the question:

Are they the new team to beat in the East?

With superstar center Sidney Crosby back in the lineup as well as top defenseman Kris Letang, it certainly appears so.

The Penguins are now four points behind the Rangers in the Eastern Conference and Atlantic Division standings with 13 games left and one game in hand.

Can they catch them?

Pittsburgh takes the Sidney Crosby Comeback Tour across the Hudson to face the New Jersey Devils Saturday then on to Philadelphia Sunday.
