According to Rangers writers on the scene at Madison Square Garden this morning (full disclosure: I was in newark for Devils' skate), injured forward Artem Anisimov participated in the Rangers' morning skate but will not play against the Devils.

The 23-year-old forward, who sustained a left shoulder injury during the team's 5-2 loss to the Penguins Tuesday, said he is "day-to-day."

"I'm so happy it's not more serious because it's a tough injury," Anisimov said, according to NHL.com. "I want to fully recover and not get rushed, because I go on the ice and somebody hit me in the shoulder, it'd be much more serious."

Anisimov has 14 goals and 19 assists for the Rangers this season.
