Zuccarello out indefinitely with broken wrist

March, 23, 2012
NEW YORK -- Halting a promising stint since his recall from the minors less than two weeks ago, Rangers winger Mats Zuccarello was forced from Friday's game against the Sabres with a broken left wrist. According to the team, he is out indefinitely.

The diminutive 24-year-old Norwegian forward, who had two goals in his
last three games entering Fridays match, suffered the injury after blocking Jordan Leopold’s shot 8:48 into play.

The injury to Zuccarello will likely result in Ruslan Fedotenko's return to the lineup. Limited to one goal and one assist in his last 16 games, the veteran winger was scratched for the second straight game Friday.
