Brodeur named NHL third star

After a stellar week in helping the Devils climb to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, Martin Brodeur was named the NHL's third star of the week last week. He finished behind Chicago's Patrick Kane and Dallas' Jamie Benn.
Brodeur recorded three straight wins against the Rangers, Lightning and Penguins with a 1.33 goals-agianst average and .942 save percentage.
The 40-year-old netminder, who played in his 1,200th career game, is 6-1-3 in nine games this season with a 2.29 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.
Brodeur, in his 19th NHL season, is the all-time leader among goaltenders In 19 career NHL seasons with 662 wins and 120 shutouts.
