Rick Nash not practicing, "still feeling symptoms"
By Katie Strang
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- It's a good thing for the Rangers to be back in New York following an atrocious five-game road trip out West that has left them sputtering with a 1-4-0 record, but there appears to be more concerning news upon returning home.
Star winger Rick Nash, who missed the last two games with what is believed to be a concussion, did not practice with the team Monday and his return does not appear imminent. The team has placed him on injured reserve.
Head coach Alain Vigneault said Nash is still recovering from the hit that earned San Jose's Brad Stuart a three-game suspension last week.
"He's still feeling symptoms, so until I hear otherwise, I don't expect him back," Vigneault said after practice Monday.
That makes it hard to believe that he will be available when the team travels to D.C. to face the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. He may be doubtful for Saturday's match against the New Jersey Devils as well.
