'Maintenance day' for Lundqvist
By Katie Strang
GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who took blame for the team's 4-0 shutout loss to the Devils on Saturday, is not on the ice with the team Monday. According to the Rangers, Lundqvist is taking a "maintenance day."
The team has three days before its next match, a road game against the Flyers on Thursday, so Lundqvist has a chance to catch his breath, clear his mind and regroup.
Also not on the ice is Rick Nash, who has been sidelined for almost two weeks now from a concussion suffered in the Rangers' 9-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks October 8.
