The New York Rangers have agreed to a contract extension with forward Dale Weise, the team announced Monday.
Weise played 10 games with the Rangers this season, but primarily played with AHL Connecticut. The 22-year-old played 47 games with the Whale, scoring 18 goals and adding 20 assists. He had 10 multi-point games on the year. In his 10 games with the Rangers, he had 19 penalty minutes.
For his career, the Rangers' 2008 fourth-round pick has played 194 AHL games and scored 57 goals and tallied 54 assists. He is a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
