If Raiders coach Hue Jackson gets fired in the coming days -- and that certainly appears to be a possibility -- he could be in play for the Jets, who likely will revamp their offensive coaching staff.

Rex Ryan knows Jackson from their one season together in Baltimore (2008), and it was a successful season, as the Ravens reached the AFC Championship Game with then-rookie Joe Flacco at quarterback. Jackson was the Ravens' quarterbacks coach in 2008 and 2009, and it credited with helping the development of Flacco. When Ryan was hired by the Jets in 2009, there were rumors that he wanted to hire Jackson as his offensive coordinator.

Jackson has been a coordinator with the Raiders, Falcons and Redskins.

The Raiders' new GM, Reggie McKenzie, is deciding whether to retain Jackson or bring in his own coach.
