PICK: Seventh round (244 overall)

PLAYER: Jordan White

SCHOOL: Western Michigan

POSITION: Wide receiver

HEIGHT: 6-foot

WEIGHT: 208 pounds

What it means: White will join second-round WR Stephen Hill in a suddenly crowded receiving corps -- lot of bodies, but also lots of questions. With White, it's all about the medical situation. He missed the 2006 season with a torn knee ligament and the '08 season with a torn cartilage in his other knee. To his credit, White rehabbed the injuries, received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA and produced two huge seasons -- 94 catches for 1,378 yards in '10 and 140 catches for 1,911 yards, 17 touchdowns in '11. Yes, those numbers are correct. The knock on him, other than durability, is his speed. He ran a 4.69 at the combine, meaning he could have problems getting open in the NFL.

How he fits in the offensive scheme: White is possession receiver. He's not going to blow by too many defensive backs, but he's crafty and knows how to get open in the short and intermediate zones. He could be used in the slot, where he can use those attributes.

Projected impact: It'll be hard for him to make the 53-man roster, especially since he has no kick-returning experience. He might want to try it because, like most late picks, he'll have to carve a niche on special teams.
