Wrapped up another weekly chat Friday afternoon, with some terrific questions. This week, the focus shifted away from Darrelle Revis and his contract situation, with more conversation on Xs and Os.

The hottest topics:

1. The Mark Sanchez-Tim Tebow QB dynamic. Obviously, this will be a hot topic from now until the end of the season. Jim (NYC) writes, "Here's what kills me about the Tebow thing: Talking heads always ask what fans will say when Sanchez throws a pick. My question is, what are those same fans going to do when Tebow goes 19 straight 3-and-outs?! I say no way Tebow starts a game besides injury-related." Maybe you're right, but they could increase his playing time in the wildcat package if Sanchez struggles.

2. Braylon Edwards and the receivers. Lot of buzz about the possibility of the Jets re-signing Edwards. On Thursday, Rex Ryan said there hasn't been any contact with Edwards. Derek (NY) thinks a Edwards reunion might be a good idea: "I know you get hounded with a lot of Braylon questions, but do you think the door is closed on him returning to the Jets?I know you said Chaz (Schilens) has impressed, but he has a history of being injury prone. (Stephen) Hill has hamstring issues and you never know how (Santonio) Holmes will behave." All good points, but right now, I say no on the Edwards return.

3. Hello, 4-3, goodbye, 3-4? Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine told me two weeks ago the Jets were going to use more 4-3 fronts than last season -- and they backed that up in minicamp. Ethan (San Diego) asks, "Will the added talent on defensive line, it seems that the Jets may use more 4-3 looks. If that is the case, which linebackers do you think will be on the field and who takes a seat?" Depends on which four comprise the line. Calvin Pace, Bart Scott and Bryan Thomas aren't prototypical 4-3 OLBs.
