The same developers who built the Mall of America in Minnesota want to give New Jersey natives “the American Dream.” But the Giants and Jets don’t want that to happen.
Triple Five aims to resurrect the failed Xanudu project next to MetLife Stadium and finish off a 639,000 square-foot expansion -- now called American Dream Meadowlands -- that includes adding an indoor water and an amusement park and connecting them to the not-yet-finished entertainment and retail complex at the site, according to the Bergen Record.
But the Giants and Jets have filed a lawsuit which seeks to prevent the project from being continued.
The Giants and Jets believe all the congestion from American Dream Meadowlands “would have an adverse effect” on the game-day experience for fans, according to the Record.
Triple Five isn’t happy about the lawsuit, telling the Record it’s “frivolous.”
“The lawsuit filed by the professional sports teams is an insult to every New Jerseyean who hoped to find work at American Dream Meadowlands,” Triple Five spokesman Alan Marcus said in a statement about the suit that was filed Friday in state Superior Court, according to the Record. “It is an assault on the taxpayers of New Jersey who would benefit from the revenue to be generated by this complex.”

For those who want Idzik to cut Goodson asap to send message: He's deliberate on big decisions, i.e Revis, Tebow. Figures to do same here.

Idzik's interest in QB market, post-Garrard, shows he's not content with Sanchez/Smith. He wants options. Hardly a vote of conf for Sanchez.
