Third Quarter: Quick Analysis

Pace hurt. Early in the third quarter, OLB Calvin Pace left with a foot injury and didn't return. His return is questionable, according to the Jets. He was replaced by Jamaal Westerman. Pace is their best pass rusher and, if they lose him for an extended period, it will be trouble. That is strictly speculation, as there's no indication if it's a serious injury.

Sanchez rallies. After starting the third quarter with a three-and-out, Sanchez finally put together a strong drive, marching to the Redskins' 11 on 14 plays. Sanchez started throwing to TE Dustin Keller, and he found LaDainian Tomlinson on a key third-down check down. Sanchez took a big hit on an incompletion, body slammed by Kedric Gholston. He got up a little slowly, but appeared OK.
