FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The Jets cut seven players Friday night to get down to the mandatory 53-man roster. The list included RB Terrance Ganaway, who scored their only touchdown of the preseason.

The other six cuts: OT Paul Cornick, DB Donnie Fletcher, WR Royce Pollard, LB Ricky Sapp, TE Hayden Smith and WR Jordan White. Fletcher, Sapp, Smith and White are strong practice-squad candidates.

There will be movement at the bottom of the roster over the weekend. For now, a few takeaways on the current 53:

They ended up cutting three of their eight draft picks -- Ganaway (sixth round), White (seventh) and OL Robert Griffin (sixth) ... The OL depth is better than a year ago ... Big NT Damon Harrison is the only undrafted rookie to make it this far ... They went very heavy on the DL and LB, with a total of 16 players ... The CB depth, beyond the top three, is suspect ... OT Dennis Landolt may not stick for long ... Dedrick Epps?

Here's the current 53-man roster (it will change over the next 48 hours):
